Cognitive Learning: Understand the life cycle of plants, types of plants, and the importance of plants in our ecosystem.

Fine and Gross Motor Skills: Develop fine motor skills through seed sorting and counting with tweezers. Gross motor skills are engaged during planting and tending to the community garden.

Artistic Expression: Encourage creativity through plant-themed art, allowing children to express their perceptions and observations about plants.

Music and Movement: Jive to the song Happy Tree with a botanical symphony, enhancing auditory and motor skills.

Dramatic Play: The pretend garden center allows children to act as gardeners, exploring roles and responsibilities in a fun and imaginative way.

Plant Discovery Circle: Children gather together to learn and observe different types of plants and their leaves.
Community Garden: Children create a community garden by planting different seeds and exploring the texture of mud.

Botanical Explorer Stations: Children observe different parts of a plant and their textures using a magnifying glass.
Seed Sorting and Counting: Children sort and count different seeds of various fruits using tweezers.
Plants Treasure Hunt: Children go around looking for plants that match the leaves handed to them.
Autonomy
Reflection Circle: The larger group discusses their observations and thoughts about their explorations. Discussion around the lifecycle of plants in comparison to the lifecycle of human/animal little ones.

Plant Impressions: Children explore different textures, colours and sizes of leaves with painting colours and brushes.
Botanical Symphony: Children sing and dance to the Happy Tree.
